Yes, slightly. From April 2026, Ofgem is adjusting how some policy costs are allocated – some charges that were previously recovered through the daily standing charge are moving into the unit rate instead. This means standing charges may fall a little for some customers, while unit rates adjust in the other direction. Ofgem is also running a trial with a small number of suppliers, potentially including Octopus, to test low or zero standing charge tariffs. Details on those trial tariffs are still emerging and this page will be updated when Octopus confirms its offering.
